When it first openned, prices were fair, stocks were diverse, checkouts were adequately manned. Now it is a shadow of its former glory. Stocks of many product lines are nonexistant or there is only one brand fro sale, some products are only on sale for a couple of days and then empty shelves for ages. So called fresh goods are really very poor, I would not consider buying fish or chicken there, not due to the price, but the quality. Tesco UK had large numbers of British (Head Office) staff at the launch and in the following weeks, they ensured it was 'right' then. Those managers should return to make a surprise visit to this branch, I think they would be disgusted with what has happened to it in such a short time. Heads should roll. The overall impression is beggining to resemble that of Macro before it closed down! Come on Tesco, you know what needs to be done, do it before your customers vote with their feet.

Yes, you are right. I have no idea what they were/are thinking and doing. The land immediate to the reclamation is earmarked for development, and the reclamation might be turned into a public park cum marina with future development. Isn't that better? What is the Tanjung Bungah Resident Association proposing? Turn the whole piece of land into a public park? Be realistic here. If you were to own the land, would you donate it away, and on top of that build a park for free? Surely there has to be some negotiation. From my current point of view TBRA just want a win-lose conflict, whereby TBRA would win by having a public park, and the landowner and developer lose. I am sure the current development wouldn't be as dense as The Cove. What did TBRA do when The Cove was in the process of being approved? Or the Land Reclamation by E & O? Just by looking at the current Google Map picture, this reclamation is dwarfed by Sri Tanjung Pinang reclamation. Why didn't TBRA argue about it?

SMKA(P) AlMashoor was one of the earliest schools in Penang, established on Thursday 9th of November, 1916 ( 16th of Muharram 1335 AH ). It was originally known as Madrasah Al Quran in Acheen Street, Penang headed by its first principal, Al-Syed Al-Shaik Al-Hadi. The school moved from Acheen Street to the 'Old Javanese Village Area' called 'Kampung Jawa Lama' in the heart of Georgetown. It was at this time that the school assumed its current root name "Madrasah Mashoor Al Islamiah" after a reknown community elder, Tuan Habib Al-Mashoor.
