Fine. Let them own the land next door. But how does owning one piece of land legalize reclamation on another, different, piece of land? The reclamation is illegal because the lease to build a marina has expired, after repeated extensions. No marina built, and none intended it seems or there should have been a signboard announcing that. The now-expired marina reclamation was reportedly approved for 1.5 acre, but has now grown illegally to 5 acre and with excess height. How is that legal?

It is a very nice place to live in. Casual, people live to eat in this island state. food every corner and turn. unfortunately very low enforcement by previous BN government. Look at the five-foot ways in Green Lane, and the service road in Jalan Ayer Item between Jalan Gopeng and the petrol station. the fivefoot ways in green lane has been: 1) fully utilised by the used car dealers-displaying used cars, 2) vaporised by the petrol dealers-for easy access to petrol pumps. 3) From Gopeng Road to the Petrol Station-five-foot fully utilized and service road cannibalized by the house owners. Maybe New Government will be brave enough to take action.

at the foot of the waterfall is an Indian Temple and Chinese Temple which is of course illegal by nature. The Chines Temple has been there for quite sometime whereas the Indian Temple is still under construction.
  • hindu temple with no proper ascess, can only asscesed by the service backlane of private property, goodcomment wrote 17 years ago:
dear mr devaraj, for your information, the new indian temple was build in year 2004 to replace the old wooden shack which has to make way for The Green Lane Park Apartments)(The 28 storey contraversal apartment). The old indian temple was build by Uncle Loh with the help of the then I&P Developer who contributed the building materials. Uncle Loh had recently passed away, May God Bless Him. Until today the said Indian Temple has no OC due no approval by MPPP. The truth of the mater is this temple do not serve the residents of Island Park as The committee members of this temple are from Batu Maung and other far away places. I think you might have mixed-up this temple with other temple.
