    VPG is a navigation beacon for aircraft. VOR stands for VHF Omnidirectional Range and VPG is the specific name assigned to this beacon in Penang. Aircraft use VORs to navigate from beacon to beacon. Each beacon is uniquely identified by the frequency at which it transmits its homing signals.
