St. Xavier's Institution, Penang,

It has often been incorrectly presumed that the Penang Free School was the first and only educational institution in Penang in 1816. It is recorded that in 1787 the Catholic bishop, Mgr. Garnault, was presented by Captain Francis Light with a parochial house at Bishop Street on the occasion of his elevation to the dignity of bishop. The bishop provided for the education of the children of the parish by establishing a small vernacular school for girls at China Street and a "small college" for boys at Pitt Street facing St. George's Church. In 1825 Father Boucho transformed this vernacular school into an English school and built a brick house to contain 150 children. He called this house the "Catholic Free School" and asked all Catholic children to leave the Penang Free School (presently Hutchings School) and join his new school. This resulted in a cold war. Eventually, Fr. Boucho's school received a grant of $100 a month from the Government of Penang and became the nucleus of the present St. Xaviers's Institution. (Gerard Stanislaus Reutens was headmaster of Hutchings School in 1972 when he wrote, A Short Survey Of The History Of The Past and Present Buildings Of Hutchings School, Penang. 1816-1972)

First of all, personally I do not this they have a very very good management skill. The structure of the management could be considered as the worst in Education industries. I strongly agree that an investment should me consider more toward the staff and student affair instead of taking an excuses of no “Budget”. The appearance of the collage itself doesn’t look like what it should be. I think more decoration should be added in to enhance the Design Collage.

Was there in 1967-1971. Remembered only one beautiful Chinese lady teacher named Rose in Standard 3 (1969) who stayed in Glugor. Was born in nearby Muntri Street in 1959. Very fond memories of my studies then. Also, there was a middle-aged English music teacher then. Can't remember the name.

Residential buildings may only be marked if the full postal address is given. Names of residents may not be stated, except that registered Wikimapia users may give their own names and those of family members.
Other private homes may no longer be marked, and are deleted, unless they show the actual postal address and have the outline and rectangle drawn correctly.
Individual apartments in a block may not be marked. You can mark the building, and show the building number or name in the title. You may not put residents' names in the title, but you can leave a comment that you live there.

Actual problem here, whether you do a right thing , you're still not in a "safe mode". When you're a good problem solver, there's no way for you to escape. They will look for you forever until you left the company. But what you get ? Promotion ? Better salary ? Better position ? Management will thank you for today and forget it by the next day. This is the culture here. But when you made a mistakes, they will remember it forever !!!
